Dear Cloud client,
Dimension Data is undertaking a patching cycle on Friday April 14th , that will result in the majority of Images provided in the Cloud being offered at the latest stable version for a given major version branch. In some cases, an Image will be offered in a new minor version number. The introduction of new major versions is a separate ongoing process and do not impact existing Images in the same way that patching does.
The imageId property (a UUID defined by CloudControl) of Images provided in the Cloud may be updated as a result of our standard patching process. Users who make use of the "Deploy Server" or "Deploy Uncustomized Server" API functions need to pay special attention to such updates. This applies to both OS Images and Priced Software Images, which have been unified in the "Images and Applications" section of the Updated UI. Our standard patching process has no impact on deployed Cloud Servers or Client Images. Clients are invited to contact their account team to discuss an optional managed service for the ongoing patching of deployed Cloud Servers and Client Images.
It is recommended that users who rely on API integration for the deployment of Cloud Servers do so from Client Images that have been tested and confirmed to satisfy application requirements at a given point in time.
